Donna Balo, CNM, APRN, MS
Donna Balo is a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) with a variety of experiences birthing babies from water births at a free standing birth center to working at community hospitals and tertiary (high risk) centers. She prides herself in helping women achieve their goals whether it is hypnobirthing, Lamaze, the Bradley Method or an epidural.
Over the years Donna has taught childbirth classes, life choice skills classes for teens and young adults, and women's health to nursing students. The Empathy Belly is always a popular training tool!
Being committed to preparing the next generation of Nurse-Midwives she is adjunct faculty at The University of Florida, Philadelphia University & the Frontier School of Midwifery.
Donna began her career with her own non-profit Midwifery office which was voted the Top Women's Health Office in West Volusia County. She was chosen as the Florida representative for The American College of Nurse-Midwives Teen Health Requires Interaction, Values & Education.
As the proud mother of 4 she & her husband are experiencing the joys of grandparenting. What a joy birthing her grandbabies into the world! Now she is delivering babies of the babies she delivered!
