Meet Julie S.
When my husband and I moved to the Orlando area in 2012, we had a 2-year old-daughter, and I had recently learned that I was pregnant with our second child. Naturally, finding an OB/GYN was an important step in getting settled into our new community. By speaking with other women and researching online, I found a practice named ‘A Place for Women’, which at the time was located in downtown Celebration. While the group is now known as AdventHealth Medical Group OB/GYN and has changed locations, their exceptional patient care has remained the same. With each visit to the office, the staff was welcoming and friendly. My office visits never felt rushed, and I had ample time to ask questions. I was able to have ultrasounds and lab work performed right in the office, which was very convenient. Even when I called the nursing line, my phone calls were returned promptly and all my questions were answered.
Since 2013, I have delivered three beautiful babies at AdventHealth Celebration, the last two with Dr. Mary Langenstroer. My husband and I were always impressed with her caring nature during the birthing process. While I was blessed with healthy pregnancies and uncomplicated deliveries, it's always a little overwhelming as you head into the hospital, knowing that your world is soon going to change! The nursing staff at The Baby Place in Celebration was wonderful in helping me relax and refocus, allowing me to progress smoothly through each delivery, whether it was long hours filled with some uncertainty, or just two pushes before the baby made it's entry into the world. The nurses were attentive to all of our needs, but at the same time, allowed us to get plenty of rest and bond with our newborn. The Celebration nursing staff truly goes above and beyond in so many ways, whether they stay late after their shift to help out, or bring you that much needed snack at 3 o'clock in the morning while you are sleepily breastfeeding your baby. Several of my nurses from my prior deliveries were still working in the unit when I had my last baby, and we immediately recognized each other. It was so nice to see familiar faces and reconnect with them again - and they even remembered my other children's names! Other ancillary staff members, such as the Nurse Manager, Lactation Consultant, and even the Environmental Services employees, made us feel welcome and at home, addressing us by name and always asking if they could do anything else to make our stay better.
I must say that Dr. Langenstroer is one of the most compassionate, friendly, and knowledgeable physicians I know. Working in the medical field myself, I respect her professionalism, courtesy, trustworthiness, and the rapport she builds with her patients. She has an amazing bedside manner and treats her patients like family. I was very blessed to have her by my side during some of the most joyful, and stressful, times in my life. Thank you Dr. Langenstroer and your wonderful team!
