The Greatest Care for Our Smallest Patients

If your little one should need extra attention, rest easy knowing there’s an incredible team of pediatric specialists dedicated to them. The Level II and Level IV NICUs at AdventHealth for Children know what special care is required for babies born prematurely or experiencing complications. We make your newest addition our top priority.

Constant Support for You and Your Baby

Every pregnancy comes with uncertainties, but some require extra special attention. If advanced maternal age, previous complicated births, or premature delivery has caused a high-risk pregnancy, we have all the care you need, ready at a moment’s notice.

AdventHealth, formerly Florida Hospital, for Women and AdventHealth for Children feature a Comprehensive Fetal Medicine Program with advanced medical technology. You’ll have a dedicated coordinator talking you through each next step. You’re never alone, as our High-Risk Unit team monitors and coordinates with your obstetrician and provides access to 24-hour obstetric and anesthesia support in your private labor and delivery suite.

Our NICU locations are staffed around the clock by a compassionate and highly skilled team of specialists. Backed by the most advanced technologies and care available, our team has created a legacy of successfully treating premature and sick newborn babies. We have a dedicated team of neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, neonatal nurses, respiratory therapists and pharmacists who are supported by specialists from a wide range of medical disciplines.

AdventHealth for Children is the first hospital system in the nation to use the Draeger Babyleo TN500 IncuWarmer. The Babyleo offers groundbreaking technology to regulate body heat, maximize efficiency for clinical staff, and allows better bonding between parents and their babies.

If your child is delivered at another hospital and requires our services, a team of specially trained registered nurses and respiratory therapists is dispatched to accompany your child to an AdventHealth for Children NICU. The care provided en route is identical to that of our NICU. The transport team constantly communicates with us before, during and after transport by ambulance or Florida Flight I, our emergency air-medical transport service.
